Welcome

The Betts Centre for Organ Studies provides educational and welfare support for the organ scholars of the University of Oxford and serves as an intercollegiate hub for all matters relating to organ music and organ research across the University.

Under the aegis of the Betts Fellow in Organ Studies, the principal focus of the Centre lies in the individual support of organ scholars. In addition, the Centre offers a rich programme of term-time events, together with an annual organ study trip. The John Wellingham Organ Studies Library at Jesus College also forms part of the Betts Centre.

Enquiries from prospective organ scholars are always welcome.

Betts Events

Böhm: MS to Trauer Gott

The Betts Centre organises a variety of events during term time. These range from hands-on workshops and occasional masterclasses to speaker events and informal gatherings. Together, these events provide a forum for Oxford's uniquely-large community of over eighty organists to meet, discuss and socialise.
