Welcome

The Betts Centre for Organ Studies provides educational and welfare support for the organ scholars of Oxford University. It also serves as an intercollegiate hub for all matters relating to organ music and organ research across the University.

In August 2024, Michael Koenig was appointed Betts Scholar in Organ Studies, succeeding Dr Katie Pardee after her distinguished tenure of twenty-three years.

The Betts Centre organises a variety of events during term time. These range from hands-on workshops and occasional masterclasses to speaker events and informal gatherings. Together, these events provide a forum for Oxford's uniquely-large community of over eighty organists to meet, discuss and socialise.
